Life-Saving Alarms in the Spotlight at Security Essen

Experts at Eaton will be on hand to discuss the LX range and the EN54-23 Standard
Sep 09, 2014

Eaton's Fulleon business will further build on its position as a leading manufacturer of life-saving alarm devices at Security Essen, the world’s leading fair for security and fire prevention. Eaton’s Fulleon business will be demonstrating its LX range of beacons and sounder beacons, which have now been granted VdS certification for meeting Germany’s highest product safety standards in fire protection and safety technology.

At the show which takes place 23rd-26th September at Messe Essen, in Germany, visitors to the Eaton stand (Hall 3 502-T) will have the opportunity to see the LX range of beacons including the new 15m coverage Squashni Base LX Ceiling device.

The LX range of visual alarm devices (VADs) which boast ultra-low current consumption are based on familiar product platforms providing easy recognition and the reassurance that high reliability and efficiency is guaranteed. The range consists of six products comprising wall mounted devices and ceiling application devices all of which provide an optimum coverage of 7.5m to meet the requirements of the applications where VADs are likely to be used as a primary notification device.

In addition, LX range devices are suitable for installation in smaller rooms where a lower coverage volume is required. A switch feature on the device can be adjusted to reduce the coverage and flash rate ensuring power is not consumed unnecessarily and costs are kept to a minimum.

As an industry leader, Eaton’s Fulleon LX range was first to market as a solution to the EN 54-23 standard and the company has launched a campaign to raise awareness of the new standard across the industry. To support this, the company has made a number of training and information resources available such as an online specifying tool to help professionals determine which products are required for a given installation, a beacon placement template which overlays scale drawings for ease of use, a pocket guide to the EN 54-23 standard and seminars which are aimed at risk assessors, specifiers and installers.

Throughout Security Essen experts from Eaton will be on hand to provide those attending with advice and guidance on selecting the perfect solutions for specific applications.
